Always Fresh SA is a supply company specialising in supplying only the best quality, fresh vegetables direct to the major retailers in South Africa.  Our head office is based in Gosforth Park, Germiston and we also have a facility in the Western Cape.

Role Responsibilities
  • Installing and assembling new machines and equipment.
  • Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for
    inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
  • Diagnosing, trouble shooting and repairing machine failures
  • Installing replacement parts
  • Using power tools and different hand tools to complete
    assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
  • Following industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and
    other safety guidelines
  • Assisting with project maintenance
  • Assist with welding operations
  • Updating maintenance logs for all machinery.
  • Inspecting control panels and electrical wiring to detect any
    issues that require immediate attention
  • Inspect completed work for compliance with standards.
  • Completion of inspection checklists
  • Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs should
    the need arise
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
  • Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working
    order.
  • Welding operations and completion of hot work permits
  • Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or
    components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve
    the problem.
  • Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment
    and other components so that they remain at full functioning
    capacity.
  • Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other
    electrical components, advising when certain components
    should be replaced due to potential risks.
  • Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted,
    including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
  • Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular
    schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues
    and to reduce costs.
  • Keeping comprehensive maintenance services under optimal
    costs.
  • Engaging in corrective maintenance for unplanned issues
  • Providing maintenance support to other departments
  • Sourcing equipment parts and maintenance supplies
  • Contributing to the achievement of production goals
  • Maximising asset uptime to avoid disruptions
  • Increasing asset life cycles with routine care.
Role Requirements
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be able to compile reports
  • Fair knowledge of industrial equipment
  • Very good physical condition
  • Excellent coordination
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Medical Certificate
  • Valid driver’s licence with own transport
Remuneration
The offered wage is market related, negotiable and will be discussed in the interview.
